Background
Kendall Andersen is a partner at our Vancouver office. Kendall was admitted to the British Columbia Bar in 2001. He is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Laws (Great Distinction) in 2000. Prior to that, he received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia in 1997.
Areas of Practice
- Kendall practises in the Financial Services Group of the Firm, focusing on a practice in Lending, Insolvency and Restructuring. Kendall also heads the Vancouver office Entertainment Law Group.
Professional Experience
- Has acted for both creditors, debtors and acquirors in a number of restructurings under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act and the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, and acts regularly for financial institutions in connection with foreclosures, receiverships, realizations and lending transactions.
- Has acted for financial institutions and borrowers in several large lending and corporate finance transactions including large, multi-jurisdictional lending transactions.
- Has acted for lenders and borrowers in connection with public-private partnership transactions, including in connection with financing improvements to the Sea to Sky Highway.
- Has acted for financial institutions and borrowers in small and medium market lending transactions, with particular experience in aircraft and other equipment financings.
- Regularly acts for financial institutions providing legal advice to lenders in connection with financing film and video productions, including financing of canadian and provincial tax credits.
- Regularly acts for clients in connection with the acquisition and financing of aircrafts.
