Background
Theresa Corneau is a Partner in the Ottawa Office. Theresa registered as a Trade-mark Agent in 1990, receiving the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada's Educational Foundation Prize for attaining the highest marks. She completed a Diploma in the F.I.T.T. (Foreign International Trade Training) Certification Program from Carleton University in June 2000. Theresa is a member of the Intellectual Property Group.

- Extensive experience in all areas of Canadian and international trade-mark practice including searching, preparation and prosecution of trade-mark applications, opposition proceedings, trade-mark licensing and property right transfers.
- Drafting and filing copyright matters, drafting of license agreements and preparing and presenting in-house trade-mark seminars to clients.

- Co-author of paper, Do You Hear What I Hear, (A Review of case law dealing with the treatment of composite trademarks that are descriptive when sounded), Canadian Intellectual Property Review (C.I.P.R.), October 2003.
