Background
Michael DeCosimo is a partner in the Securities and Capital Markets Group in our Toronto office. Michael was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 1999. He graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Windsor in 1997. Michael also received his H.B.A. from the Richard Ivey School of Business, the University of Western Ontario in 1992. He was recognized as one of Lexpert's Rising Stars Leading Lawyers Under 40 in 2010.

- Acts for closed-end investment funds in connection with their IPOs, warrant offerings and rights offerings, raising aggregate gross proceeds of over $5.5 billion.
- Acts in connection with public and private mergers and acquisitions.
- Advises public companies with respect to reporting obligations and corporate governance matters.
- Advises income trusts regarding conversions, mergers and restructuring.
