Background

Simon Grégoire is a partner at our Montréal office. Admitted to the Québec Bar in 1988 and graduate of the McGill University Law School in Civil Law (B.C.L.) and Common Law (LLB). Masters in International Business Transactions (LLM) from the University of London (LSE and UCL) in 1989.

      • Mr Grégoire is the regional leader of our Construction, Engineering, Surety and Fidelity Group (CESF) and of the International Trade and Arbitration Group.

    Professional Experience

    • From 1989 to present, has represented owners, contractors and subcontractors in contract negotiations and in various cases before all courts of law including arbitration tribunals.
    • Leading counsel representing the contractor in the landmark case of Les Constructions du Saint-Laurent Ltée vs. Aluminerie Alouette Inc, the first large-scale lawsuit entirely computerized in Canada and which required more than 150 days of hearing.
    • Involved in arbitrations concerning large infrastructural projects.
