Background
Neil Hazan is a partner in our Montréal office. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2003 and the Québec Bar in 2005.
Neil graduated with Great Distinction from McGill University Law School with degrees in both civil and common law. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Graduate Diploma in Management.

- His practice is concentrated on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, joint ventures and general commercial matters.

- Advised Bell Canada in connection with its acquisition of Bell Aliant Regional Communications LP's xwave business.
- Advised X3 Productions Inc. in connection with the global rollout of X3's Indiana Jones and the Adventure of Archeology Exhibition produced in association with Lucasfilm Ltd. and the National Geographic Society.
- Advised Elekta AB of Sweden in its acquisition of Resonant Medical Inc.
- Advised the holders of a senior secured notes in connection with AbitibiBowater Inc.'s $615 million sale of the McCormick hydroelectric facility.
- Advised the Inukshuk Wireless Partnership, a joint venture between Bell and Rogers, with respect to the use of Inukshuk wireless spectrum by Alberta 's Corridor Communications Inc.
- Advised a subsidiary of DryShips Inc. of Greece in its acquisition of the MV Sorrento.
- Advised Novell, Inc. in its acquisition of data center management company PlateSpin Ltd.
- Advised Hammond Power Solutions Inc. in its acquisition of the transformers business of the Delta Group of companies.
- Advised the shareholders of the Cameo Group in their sale of companies in Québec, California and Chile to LabelCorp Holdings, Inc.
- Advised the shareholders of online brokerage TradeFreedom Securities Inc. in their sale of the company to The Bank of Nova Scotia.
- Advised the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador in connection with its purchase of rights in an undersea fibre-optic network between Newfoundland and Nova Scotia.
- Advised the shareholders of St. Lawrence Chemical Inc. in their sale of the company to Brenntag Canada Inc.
- Advised Global Automated Teller Machines Inc. in the sale of its assets to a subsidiary of The Stanley Works.
- Advised EMS Technologies in the sale of its Satellite Networks Division to Advantech Advanced Microwave Technologies.
- Advised Miranda Technologies Inc. in connection with its reorganization and successful public offering on the TSX.
- Advised Bell Canada in its acquisition of certain cable and fibre-optic assets in Québec and Ontario from VDN Cable Inc.
- Advised B.C.-based Glentel Inc. in its acquisition of Cabtel Corporation (doing business across Canada as the Telephone Booth/La Cabine Téléphonique).
- Advised the US Federal Aviation Administration on regulatory strategies for emerging aerospace technologies.
