Background

Brooke Keneford is counsel in the Ottawa Office. Brooke successfully completed courses in the Bachelor of Science (Chemistry) program at London University before emigrating to Canada in 1967. He was registered as a Patent Agent in 1968 and as a Trade-mark Agent in 1978. Brooke is fluently multilingual and practises in English, French and German. Brooke is a member of the Intellectual Property and Technology Professional Group.

Professional Experience

• Worked for several years in the patent departments of Westinghouse of Canada and Microsystems International before joining Scott & Aylen (one of the five founding firms of Borden Ladner Gervais) in 1974.

Professional and Community Activities

• Past-Chairman of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada's Tutorials Committee for Patent Agent examinations and has also served as one of the Institute's tutors for the Patent Agent Examinations.
• Member: Intellectual Property Institute of Canada (IPIC), Association internationale pour la protection de la propriété industrielle (AIPPI) and the International Trade-mark Association (INTA).
