Background

Yves Ménard is a Partner in the Ottawa office. Yves received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Ottawa in 1981 and his Bachelor of Law (Common and Civil Law) from McGill University in 1985. He was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1987. Yves is the regional leader of the Commercial Real Estate Group.

• Real Estate, Corporate/commercial, and education law fields, with particular emphasis in real estate, financing, construction, procurement and business acquisition.
• Fluently bilingual in French and English, and practices in both official languages.

• Past-Chairman and present member of the Governors Circle of Le Regroupement des gens d’affaires de l’Outaouais.
• Past Honorary Counsel of the Resource Educational and Advocacy Centre for the Handicapped.
• Member of l’Association des juristes d’expression française de l’Ontario.
• Past Director of S.P.R.I.N.N.T., a non-profit corporation involved in the education of students with learning disabilities.
• Past-senior instructor at the Bar Admission Course of the Law Society of Upper Canada in the areas of corporate law and negotiation and has lectured for the Continuing Legal Education Program of the Law Society.
• Past-President and Director of the Ottawa International Jazz Festival.
• Frequent guest lecturer in the area of real estate construction and procurement law.
