Background
Alan Sless is a partner in our Toronto office. Alan was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 1983. He graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1981. Prior to that, Alan received a B.A. from the University of Toronto.
Areas of Practice
Alan practices in the area of commercial real estate law and has extensive experience in acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development, joint ventures, co-ownerships and financing involving real estate, including condominium projects, shopping centres, office and industrial complexes.
Professional Experience
- Structures business relationships in respect of joint ventures, co-ownerships and partnerships relating to land assemblies, development projects, commercial, industrial and multi-residential properties.
- Advises purchasers, vendors, lenders, developers, landlords and tenants in all aspects of commercial real estate law.
- Acts for banks and other financial clients in respect of financings, security reviews, restructuring and realizations, including syndicated loans and multi-jurisdictional loans relating to real estate based financing.
- Acts for developers in connection with residential and commercial condominium developments, multi-unit residential buildings, residential subdivision projects and lot sales.
- Acts for municipalities in respect of affordable housing loans to not-for-profit organizations.
