Background
Tommy Tremblay is a partner at our Montreal office. Mr. Tremblay was admitted to the Québec bar in 2000 and graduated from Laval University in Civil Law. Previously, Mr. Tremblay had obtained a Bachelor in Sociology.
Areas of practice
- Mr. Tremblay is a member of our Commercial Litigation Group and specializes in shareholders' disputes as well as directors' and officers' liability.
Professional Experience
- He advises directors and officers on good governance, including their duties towards stakeholders (shareholders, creditors, employees, etc.) along with the various regulations applicable to them.
- Through his mandates, Mr. Tremblay has been in contact with various government agencies with respect to regulatory matters.
- He also participates in the development of compliance programs within companies so that they can insure that their employees and managers respect all applicable statutory norms.
- In that respect, Mr. Tremblay regularly assists clients regarding administrative investigations that are conducted to determine if statutory norms were contravened.
- Mr. Tremblay also contributes to the implementation of internal investigation protocols with companies that suspect their employees or managers of having committed irregularities (fraud, non-compliance to statutory norms, etc.).
