Background
Stephanie Wong is Counsel to the firm. Stephanie was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 1996 and graduated from Queen’s University law school. In 1997, she obtained a Masters of Law in Taxation from Osgoode Hall Law School. Prior to entering law school, Stephanie obtained a B.A. Honours in Psychology from Queen’s University.
Areas of Practice
- Stephanie practises exclusively in the tax area and her practice includes international taxation and corporate finance with an emphasis on international structured financing, mergers and acquisitions, cross-border tax planning and transfer pricing.
Professional Experience
- Advising on the structuring and tax implications of domestic and international corporate/commercial transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, financings and reorganizations.
- Advising on taxation issues associated with domestic and cross-border structured financing and lending transactions.
- International tax planning for non-resident corporations carrying on business in Canada and for Canadian corporations carrying on business internationally.
- Advising domestic and cross-border businesses on transfer pricing.
