Background

Chantal Saunders is a partner in the Ottawa office of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP. Chantal is a lawyer and a registered patent agent. She obtained a B.Sc. from Queen's University (Honours) in 1997, an LL.B. from Dalhousie University in 2001, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2002.

Areas of Practice

Chantal specializes in the area of intellectual property, with an emphasis on patent litigation and particularly pharmaceutical litigation under the NOC Regulations. Her practice also involves copyright and trade-mark infringement litigation, and Access to Information Act matters. She has appeared before the Federal Courts on patent and copyright matters. Chantal also advises clients with respect to data protection, and issues arising in respect of the Patent Register, and the Patented Medicines Prices Review Board.
