Background

Johanne Thomas is an associate at our Montréal office. Ms. Thomas was admitted to the Québec Bar in 1979 and is a graduate of the Université de Montréal Law School. She also obtained a Masters degree in translation from the Université de Montréal in 1983.

Areas of Practice

• Ms. Thomas is Head of the Translation Department of our Montréal office and practises in securities law.
• She assists other law firms and various companies in the translation of documents relating to securities, contracts and administration.

Professional Experience

• Specialized areas of expertise include the translation of documents relating to securities: prospectus, annual information forms, proxy circulars, annual reports, and documents relating to take-over bids.
• Also in charge of filing documents with the Securities Commission and related representation of clients.
• Translates contracts, administrative documents, judgments, forms and advertisements for various companies.
