- Represented the agent for a syndicate of financial institutions including Citibank and The Toronto-Dominion Bank in the $30 billion secured acquisition financing in connection with the failed privatization of BCE Inc. in 2007-2008
- Represented Bear Stearns in connection with Thomson Corp.'s $9 billion acquisition financing of Reuters in 2007
- Represented the agents, The Toronto-Dominion Bank and Royal Bank of Canada, and a syndicate of lenders in connection with the establishment of $2.0 billion credit facilities in favour of BCE Inc. in May 2009
- Represented the borrower, Softchoice Corporation, in a $115 million senior secured asset-based credit facility and US$20.5 million subordinate secured term facility in January 2009
- Represented the agent, The Toronto-Dominion Bank, and a syndicate of lenders in a $2.4 billion senior credit facility involving Rogers Communications Inc. in June 2007
- Represented the agent and a syndicate of lenders in the establishment of Intrawest Corporation's $1.75 billion credit facilities in October 2006
- Represented the agent, The Bank of Nova Scotia, and a syndicate of lenders in the establishment of $1.3 billion senior secured credit facilities and $75 million senior subordinated credit facilities as part of CanWest MediaWorks Limited Partnership's going private transaction in 2007
- Represented the agent, Bear Stearns Corporate Lending Inc., and a syndicate of lenders in Cedar Fair L.P.'s $2.1 billion secured acquisition credit facility in June 2006
- Represented a syndicate of U.K. and French senior lenders in a $625 million financing in connection with the DBFM of the Sea-to-Sky Highway from West Vancouver to Whistler with Macquarrie as the lead consortium in June 2005
- Represented the borrower, Modular Space Corporation, in obtaining acquisition financing and a revolving credit facility in March 2007
- Represented the borrower, Thorold CoGen L.P., and sponsor in a $451.5 million senior project financing and $70 million subordinated project financing for construction of a 265 MW cogeneration facility in Thorold, Ont. in August 2007
- Represented the agent, The Bank of Nova Scotia, and a syndicate of lenders in $425 million credit facilities for Cineplex Entertainment Limited Partnership in the establishment of an income fund and later to finance the acquisition of Famous Players Theatres in July 2005
- Represented the borrower, Nortek, Inc., in a US$350 million senior secured ABL credit facility in May 2008
- Represented the agent, The Bank of Nova Scotia, and a syndicate of lenders in Cara Operations Limited's $350 million secured operating facility in June 2007
- Represented the fiscal agent, RBC Dominion Securities Inc., in the City of Toronto's $300 million sinking fund debenture issue in June 2008
- Represented the borrower, consisting of four Ontario school boards, in an aggregate amount of over $250 million long-term borrowing as part of the multi-phase Good Places to Learn long-term financing program and long-term financing of other different types of school capital projects through the Ontario Financing Authority coordinated by the Ministry of Education. BLG represents 69 Ontario school boards in connection with these transactions
- Represented the borrower, Saint-Ulric/Saint-Léandre Wind L.P., and sponsor, Northland Power Income Fund, in a $236 million senior secured credit facility and $35 million senior subordinated credit facility in connection with the project financing of the Jardin d'Eole wind farm in May 2008
