Executive Summary

Patricia Olah is National Co-Leader, BLG Adroit and National Lean Project Management Counsel based in our Montréal office. She is a seasoned lawyer with over 25 years of commercial law and litigation experience in Canada, the United States and internationally.

Patricia combines her legal experience and training in project management and Lean Six Sigma methodologies in training, guiding and supporting BLG`s professionals, as well as BLG’s clients, in the application of project and process management to legal services.

Prior to joining the Firm, Patricia spent 15 years with Bell Canada and the BCE group of companies. During this time she served in several senior executive legal positions, including as Special Advisor to BCE’s Chief Legal Officer, where she served as project manager for many major complex litigations, and as Vice-President, Legal of various public and non-public subsidiaries of BCE, where she led internal and external legal and business teams in conducting complex international and domestic corporate and finance transactions.

Before re-locating to Montréal in 1994, Patricia lived and worked in New York City as a corporate lawyer with the international law firm of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, and as litigation counsel with the US Securities & Exchange Commission.

Representative Work

  • Working with various practice groups of the Firm to improve efficiency and enhance value in the delivery of legal services to clients in areas including (among others): Corporate Commercial, Commercial Real Estate, Commercial Litigation, Financial Services, and Securities and Capital Markets.
  • Supporting the Firm in the development of alternative fee arrangements
  • Supporting the Firm in the application of project management methodologies, including scoping, work planning, scheduling and budgeting.
  • Providing consulting services in process and project management to clients’ in-house legal departments.
