With an extensive background in tort liability, Cheryl Woodin is a highly experienced and skilled litigator who specializes in the defence of class actions and claims related to mass tort, negligence, contract, products, consumer protection and statutory liability. Her practice is focused on complex civil litigation, primarily dealing with multi-party proceedings for large institutional clients, across jurisdictions and industries. She has defended clients in class actions involving automotive parts, medical devices, environmental contamination, police and municipal liability, and personal injury claims.

Cheryl is the regional co-leader of BLG’s Class Actions Group, a member of the firm’s regional management committee and chair of the ABA’s Mass Tort Class Actions and Derivative Suits Committee. A sought-after speaker, she regularly presents on civil litigation, trial practice and advocacy, class actions, and insurance and personal injury. She has authored numerous papers and articles on class actions, negligence and contract law and on the development of consumer protection legislation.
