Brad Woods  

Brad Woods is an associate in our Corporate Commercial Group in our Vancouver office. He practises corporate/commercial law with an emphasis on construction, energy and environmental matters, and has experience in a variety of corporate transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, amalgamations and reorganizations. Brad’s construction experience includes drafting and reviewing procurement documents and project agreements for a variety of construction and engineering projects. In the area of energy, Brad’s experience includes advising on a number of power procurement processes and assisting in the acquisition of energy generation facilities. Brad’s environmental law experience includes providing clients with general regulatory advice, advice regarding contaminated-sites liability, and assistance with environmental assessments.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Brad worked as a systems integration consultant for the manufacturing sector.

• Represented BC Hydro in various renewable energy calls for power in British Columbia, including the 2010 Bioenergy Phase II Call for Power and the 2008 Clean Energy Call for Power.
• Assisted BC Hydro in respect of an approximately $1-billion hydro-generating facility rehabilitation project.
• Represented BC Hydro in drafting and negotiating various Power Smart commercial agreements.
• Seconded for three-month period to transportation division of SNC-Lavalin Inc.
