BLG Calgary
Summer
BLG Calgary has now completed hiring first and second year law students for summer positions with the firm for 2013.
Members of BLG Calgary's Student Committee attend law school campuses to conduct interviews in September and October. Second interviews take place in the Calgary office at the end of October. For 2014 summer positions, application deadlines will be posted at a later date. Interviews will be coordinated in accordance with your school`s on campus interview schedule. Offers for successful candidates will be made in accordance with the guidelines and rules established by Calgary firms and the Law Society of Alberta.
Articling
BLG Calgary will accept applications for 2014 / 2015 articles after April 1st, 2013. Deadline for applications is May 6, 2013.
BLG Calgary receives and reviews applications and interviews candidates in accordance with rules established by the Law Society of Alberta and Calgary firm protocol.
Applications for articling positions are received and reviewed in the spring of the student's second year. For students in a four year program, applications are received during the student's third year. Pursuant to the Law Society rules, interviews may be conducted in the first two weeks of June. BLG Calgary aims to interview students during the first week of June.
BLG Calgary has already completed hiring articling students for 2013/2014.
BLG Montreal
Summer Students
BLG Montréal receives and reviews applications and interviews candidates in accordance with the rules established by member firms of the Entente de recrutement. All students are hired in the context of the articling requirements of the École du Barreau and students hired for articles usually work with us the summer immediately following their graduation from law school.

Articling Students
BLG Montréal receives and reviews applications and interviews candidates in accordance with the rules established by member firms of the Entente de recrutement.
BLG Montréal has already hired its Articling Students for 2013 and 2014.
We would like to hire 10 students for articling year 2015.
Applications for 2015 articling positions must be submitted by February 6, 2013 via the ViRecruit Platform or by February 13, 2013 by mail. Interviews for 2015 articling positions will be held between March 4th and March 21st, 2013. Employment offers will be made on Friday March the 22nd, 2013, from 8 a.m.
Interested candidates are invited to submit their resume with a cover letter and copies of all law school and postsecondary transcripts.
BLG Ottawa
2013 Intellectual Property Summer Law Student Program
The recruitment of first and second year students having a hard science or engineering background and an interest in a summer law student position in intellectual property law for Summer 2013, will take place in October 2012.
Interested candidates should submit an application including resume, cover letter and copies of all law school and post-secondary transcripts by Friday October 12, 2012.
IP Summer interviews will take place between October 22 – November 1, 2012.
The call day for offers begins at 8:00 a.m. on Friday November 2, 2012.
Summer
BLG Ottawa receives and reviews applications and interviews candidates in accordance with guidelines and rules established by the Law Society of Upper Canada.
Interested candidates should submit an application including resume, cover letter and copies of all law school and post-secondary transcripts by Tuesday January 29, 2013.
The interview period is between February 8 – February 22, 2013.
The call day for offers begins at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday February 26, 2013.

We have hired our second year summer students for the 2013 summer term and will not be accepting further applications.
Articling
We have hired a full complement of articling students for the 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 articling terms and will not be accepting further applications.
BLG Vancouver
Summer
BLG Vancouver receives and reviews applications and interviews candidates in accordance with guidelines and rules established by the Vancouver Bar Association and the Law Society of British Columbia. Interested candidates should submit an application including resume, cover letter and copies of all law school and post secondary transcripts.
Summer student interviews take place during October of second year. Applications for summer student positions should be submitted in September according to the deadlines found in the Vancouver Bar Association Guidelines. Interviews are normally scheduled for the third week of October. BLG Vancouver does not hire first year students for summer positions.
BLG Vancouver representatives conduct on-campus interviews in Toronto, Halifax, Calgary or Edmonton, Vancouver and Victoria in September. Students can submit their applications directly to us in accordance with the deadlines found in the Vancouver Bar Association Guidelines.
Articling

Articling student interviews are typically scheduled for August prior to the student's third year. Applications for articling positions should be submitted in June according to the deadlines found in the Vancouver Bar Association Guidelines.
BLG Waterloo Region
Summer
BLG Waterloo Region is not currently recruiting for a 2013 summer student. We will update this site should our hiring needs change.
Articling
