Gerry Argento
Gerry is a graduate of the civil law and common law degrees at the Université de Montréal. Prior to his legal studies, Gerry also completed a bachelor’s degree in political science at the Université de Montréal. For nearly twenty years, Gerry has been a competitive soccer player, competing both a the national and international levels. Once a member of the Montreal Impact, Gerry was named All-Canadian and Goalkeeper of the Year on five occasions at the university level and he also represented Canada at the FISU Summer Universiade in Bangkok, Thailand. In addition to his life as a student-athlete, Gerry has been very active with the university’s community, as a research assistant for professor Deslauriers, and as a member of the student council for the Canadian Civil Liberties Association and for the Université de Montréal’s legal clinic. If he had not gone to law school, Gerry would either be a musician or would have pursued a career as a professional soccer player.
