Alexis-Thomas Renaud

Alexis-Thomas discovered his interest for law while managing a local resto-bar. He is currently completing his bachelor's degree in civil law at the faculté des sciences juridiques of l'Université du Québec à Montréal (UQÀM). He will obtain his LL.B. in April 2010. In 2009, he participated as a mooter for UQÀM's Gale cup counsel, Canada's constitutional and criminal law moot competition, where his team won the top French university prize. He has also completed a clerkship at the Superior Court of Québec with the Honourable Justice Sophie Bourque. Prior to this period, he lived in Strasburg (France), Alberta, and spent most of his youth travelling and working in restaurants and bars. He is interested in Labour, Intellectual Property, Administrative legal matters and litigation in all its aspects. He speaks French and English fluently. Had he not chosen to attend Law school, he would be a disc jockey, a music critic or he would own a nightclub.
