Every mentor and supervising lawyer is encouraged to offer ongoing feedback to students, articling students and associates during the course of each assignment. We believe the best way to improve is through open communication and dialogue and this is often accommodated by informal progress reports and updates from time to time.

BLG has a formal national evaluation system tailored specifically for students and associates based on clearly defined criteria. This tool provides a structured assessment of each student's performance and progress twice during the summer program and at the end of each rotation during the articling term. The two-way process allows opportunity for informal discussion and questions along the way.

Once articles are completed, BLG's formal evaluation system continues for all BLG associates focusing on future progress and development goals.
