Summer Program
BLG offers a summer program designed to introduce second year students to one or more practice areas thereby allowing insight and exposure to the practice of law which may then guide your choices for articling rotations.
The type of work undertaken by BLG summer students is much the same as that undertaken by articling students or junior associates and can range from research to drafting contracts and pleadings. BLG lawyers are also encouraged to assist you in learning about the practice of law by inviting you to meetings, discoveries and court appearances. Our aim is to provide challenging work and an educational experience.
Some of our offices also offer students the possibility of taking advantage of the following opportunities:
BLG Calgary
BLG Calgary offers the opportunity for students to select a one month assignment at one of BLG’s other office locations.

Testimonials
Adèle D'Silva, articling student, and Christian Lazarre, who was called to the Barreau du Québec in 2011, give us a candid account of their experience at BLG. Both describe how the summer employment program allowed them to develop their practical skills and put them in close contact with colleagues from our other offices.
