Background
Jill Alexander is a lawyer at our Ottawa office. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 1999.
Jill graduated from the University of Ottawa law school in 1997 with her Bachelor of Laws, magna cum laude. Prior to that, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree, with distinction, from Carleton University.
Professional Experience
Jill is a member of BLG’s Insurance and Tort Liability Group. She acts on behalf of a number of insurers in respect of personal injury, general liability and professional negligence claims. She also routinely prosecutes subrogated claims on behalf of insurers.
Jill has been invited to moderate and speak at many continuing legal education events including the County of Carleton Law Association’s Annual Civil Litigation Conference.
In February, 2008, Jill was awarded the CCLA’s Regional Senior Justice Award for her outstanding contribution to the legal profession.
