Background
Kate Crawford is an associate practising health law in our Toronto office. She graduated from Queen’s Law school in 2004 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2005. Prior to attending law school, Kate completed an honours bachelor of arts in cultural anthropology at Trinity College, University of Toronto.
Kate joined BLG as an articling student in September 2004 and returned as an associate in September 2005.
Areas of Practice
Kate is a member of our Health Law Group. Her practice involves:
- Civil litigation with a particular expertise in medical malpractice
- Acting as counsel to Hospitals, Long Term Care facilities, Retirement Homes, and Community Care organizations on general matters (including policy advice), civil litigation, and regulatory proceedings.
- Appearing before all levels of court and various administrative tribunals, including the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board and the Human Rights Tribunal.
