Background
Brad Dixon is a commercial litigation partner at our Vancouver office. Brad was admitted to the British Columbia Bar in 1990. He is a graduate of the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce, both in 1989.
Areas of Practice
Brad practises in the areas of commercial litigation and class action defence. Brad is the Vancouver Regional Leader for Commercial Litigation and the Vancouver Regional Leader for our Class Actions Group.

Professional Experience
- Has appeared in all levels of court in British Columbia and had conduct of arbitrations in a broad range of disputes involving, among other things, contract claims, product liability and product warranty claims, disputes over real property interests or priorities, various types of consumer law claims and claims raising constitutional and other public law issues.
- Has acted in defence of public authorities in two class actions in which dismissals were obtained, including the first class action to be dismissed in British Columbia on the trial of common issues, a successful result affirmed on appeal to the Court of Appeal, with leave to appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada denied. He has defended a number of manufacturers in proposed class actions advancing product liability and consumer law claims, including a matter in which a certification order was reversed by the Court of Appeal for the first time in British Columbia. Brad has also defended an insurer, financial institutions and a financial services provider in proposed class actions involving insurance deductibles, credit card interest disclosure and claims for recovery of interest on short-term loans.
