Background

Trish Morrison is a partner in the Construction, Engineering, Surety, and Fidelity practice group in the Calgary office. She was admitted to the Alberta bar in 1998, after completing her articles with the firm. Trish is the Calgary regional leader of our Construction, Engineering, Surety and Fidelity Group and is a member of the Public-Private Infrastructure Projects Group and the Environmental Law Focus Group.

Areas of Practice and Professional Experience

  • Trish's practice focuses on all facets of the construction industry, acting for owners, general contractors, subcontractors, lenders and sureties in construction disputes, as well as in front-end construction project matters such as tendering and contract drafting, including the negotiation and drafting of P3 agreements.
  • She also provides advice on environmental matters, having acted as counsel on numerous contaminated site litigation cases and advising on environmental issues in commercial transactions.
  • Trish also acts as counsel in litigation involving general corporate/commercial matters, such as fidelity claims and product liability disputes. Numerous of these disputes have been resolved through mediation or arbitration.
