Background
Tim Sehmer was the regional managing partner of our Vancouver office for a three year period ending December 31, 2007, where he practises in the area of corporate commercial law. Tim was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1979. He is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School at York University with a Bachelor of Laws in 1978. Prior to that, he attended the University of British Columbia in the Faculty of Commerce.

- Other practice area of interest is closely-held corporations, and he acts for a diverse range of family-owned companies. In addition to corporate and commercial law aspects, this practice involves elements of family law, tax and estate planning.

- Vancouver Regional Leader of the firm's Private Company Practice Group.
- Taught the Close Corporations seminar at the University of British Columbia.
- Chair and Speaker in numerous courses for the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia and client seminars.
- Founding Member and former Chair of the Banking Law Subsection of the British Columbia branch of the Canadian Bar Association.
- Director of several community organizations.
