Background
Frank Tosto is a partner in the Calgary office. He is the Regional Leader of the Intellectual Property Litigation Group.
In 1993, Frank received both a LLB and Juris Doctorate. Frank also studied Intellectual Property Law at the Intellectual Property Law Institute. Frank was admitted to the Law Society of Upper Canada in 1997 and the Law Society of Alberta in 2004.
Frank has appeared at all levels of court throughout Canada including acting as counsel in numerous motions and trials in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Alberta Court of Queen's Bench and Federal Court of Canada (Trial Division). His appellate experience includes conducting matters in the Ontario and Alberta Courts of Appeal, the Federal Court of Canada (Appeal Division) and the Supreme Court of Canada (Leave Application). He has also appeared as counsel at the Trade-Mark Opposition Board as well as navigating clients through the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute Resolution (“UDRP”) process. He has also conducted several inquests and inquiries.

- Frank's practice focuses primarily on Intellectual Property Litigation and Directors' and Officers' liability.
- Frank has litigated patent, trade secret, industrial design, trademark and copyright matters including several “Bet–the–Company” actions.
