Norm Letalik practises in the fields of product liability, maritime and shipping law, and gray market goods. He is the National Leader of the Auto Industry Focus Group at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP, and Toronto Regional Leader of the International Group. He is also a member of the Firm’s Team North initiative. As the Firm’s Managing Director, Professional Excellence, his responsibilities include recruitment, mentoring, performance evaluations, continuing education, knowledge management and professional development activities, which comprise BLG’s Professional Excellence Program.
Norm is the past National Head of the following practice groups: Product Liability, Information Technology, International and ADR. Additionally, he was the Toronto Head of the Maritime Group and a member of the Aviation Group. From 1996 to 1998, Norm was the Managing Partner of Firm’s office in London, UK. Prior to practising law, Norm was a law professor at Dalhousie University (1980-86) and the National University of Singapore (1986-88). Norm has delivered numerous papers and presentations throughout the world, and has written more than 50 publications in many areas of law.
