Hugo Babos-Marchand’s practice encompasses bankruptcy and insolvency law, banking, commercial and securities law litigation, including extraordinary remedies and shareholders’ rights disputes.
Hugo regularly acts for various financial institutions, trustees, monitors, receivers, corporations and shareholders. He has represented his clients before all levels of courts in Québec as well as before the Federal Court.
He completed in 2010 a master’s degree in law at McGill University for which he was awarded the Aubrey-Senez Bursary. His master’s project dealt with the incorporation of Norwich orders in Québec judicial law. Hugo also teaches the course on Priorities and Hypothecs at the École du Barreau du Québec.
