Alexandra S. Beaudry specializes in healthcare law, particularly in the area of medical liability. She also advises clients on the interpretation of legislation governing health and social services.
In her practice, Alexandra is also called upon to work in the following areas:

- Access to medical records
- Health-related human rights and freedoms
- Clinical research ethics and bioethics
Alexandra is a lecturer at the Faculty of Law of the Université de Sherbrooke, where she teaches the course “Les Chartes et le droit de la santé” (The Charters and Healthcare Law) in the Master’s program in Healthcare Law and Policy. She is also a (substitute) lawyer member of the Clinical Research Ethics Committee of Héma-Québec.
Before beginning her career at BLG, Alexandra worked as a lawyer for Catalis Québec, the mission of which is to foster excellence in clinical research in Québec and to facilitate co-operation among life sciences industries, in order to accelerate the development of innovative treatments. In that position, she participated in reviewing and harmonizing the standard operating procedures of the research ethics committees in some Montréal health and social services institutions (the MUHC, CHUM and Ste-Justine).
