Catherine C. Beauvais’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, securities and venture capital. She represents investment funds as well as mid- to large-size private and public sector entities. She also helps start-ups in their growth and funding efforts.

She was both a summer student and an articling student at BLG before returning as an associate in 2019, after having completed a Master in Economy, Risk and Society at the London School of Economics.

Experience

  • VetStrategy in connection with Berkshire Partners’ acquisition of a majority stake in VetStrategy from Imperial Capital with a deal value of over US$1 billion.
  • Textiles Amalgamated Inc. and its shareholders, including Capital régional et coopératif Desjardins, in connection with the sale of the company to Town & Country Holdings, an H.I.G. Capital Portfolio Company.
  • BDC Capital, Fonds de Solidarité FTQ, Desjardins Capital and UI Investissement on their equity investment in a US$140 million financing in LeddarTech, a Canadian ADAS and AD sensing technology group ($116 million in Series D funding plus debt facility of $24 million).
  • iNovia Capital (as lead investor) and Fonds de solidarité (F.T.Q.) in a $70M venture capital round in WorkJam Inc.
  • Groupe Daubigny and VetStrategy, Canada's leading and largest operator of veterinary clinics, in its sale to private equity firm Berkshire Partners.
  • iNovia Capital (as lead investor) and Fonds de solidarité (F.T.Q.) in a $70M venture capital round in WorkJam Inc.
  • Panache Ventures with its venture fund formation and financing.
