Justine's practice focuses on complex personal injury defence including health care matters, professional negligence, product liability, automobile accidents, fires, floods, directors and officers liability, commercial host liability, commercial construction, and coverage. Justine has a particular interest in health law and sports and recreation.

She has appeared before all levels of the Alberta courts.

Before joining BLG, she articled and was an associate with a regional law firm, working in insurance, business services and wealth management.

She is fluent in English and French.

Justine provides legal services through a Law Corporation.

Experience

  • Acts for a variety of insurers, manufacturers and distributors in defence of personal injury claims arising from professional negligence, product liability, motor vehicle collisions, slip and falls, pedestrian accidents, commercial construction disputes, and commercial host liability.
  • Defends a variety of medical and paramedical professionals in litigation and administrative proceedings.
  • Provides risk management advice to senior living clients and health care authorities.
  • Acts for insurers with respect to a variety of professional negligence claims, including directors and officers liability and errors and omissions claims.
  • Acts for insurers with respect to disputes over surety bond claims.
  • Acts for a variety of insurance companies in subrogated matters and providing coverage opinions.
