Olivier practises in corporate and commercial law with a focus on infrastructure, renewable energy and transportation. He drafts and negotiates commercial agreements, particularly in government contracts, construction, engineering, supply chain and nuclear energy. He also advises companies of all sizes on mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to joining BLG, Olivier practised with a major Montréal law firm and was legal counsel to a publicly traded company specializing in power generation and distribution projects, and transportation electrification

Olivier is fluent in English and French.


  • Acted for ABB Inc. in the drafting and negotiation of numerous EPC contracts for the development of electrical infrastructure.
  • Acted as advisor on the legislation applicable to ABB Inc.’s sale of its power systems division to Hitachi Ltd.
  • Acted for CDPQ Infra in the development of the Réseau Express Métropolitain (REM) with respect to infrastructure acquisition and certain transactional and regulatory aspects. 
  • Acted for the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec in its investments in renewable energy assets.
  • Represented Hitachi Energy in the drafting and negotiation of strategic agreements for the supply of critical equipment for nuclear power plants in Canada.
