Doug advises clients in a wide range of corporate commercial law matters, focusing on finding effective and practical solutions to their business matters.
Within his practice, Doug specializes in four main areas:
- corporate and commercial matters, broadly advising privately held businesses
- corporate governance, with a focus on co-operative associations and similarly constituted entities
- information technology, including the acquisition of computer systems and software and related services
- intellectual property, covering all areas of the creation, protection, exploitation (including licensing and franchising) and enforcement of trademarks, copyrights, patents, trade secrets and other intellectual property rights (excluding the preparation and prosecution of patent applications).
Doug is a member of the firm's Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiative.
