Joëlle is a corporate and commercial lawyer and works from both Edmonton and Calgary. She has assisted a wide range of clients – individuals, small businesses, start-ups, large private businesses and publicly listed entities – with various corporate and commercial issues at all stages of their business.
Joëlle is experienced in acting for both purchasers and sellers in all aspects concerning mergers and purchase and sale of business transactions, and assists clients from various industries on other corporate and securities matters including:
- strategic planning and formation of business entities
- reorganizations and restructurings
- financing transactions (including public and private offerings of debt and equity securities)
- the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts of all types
She also advises companies on corporate governance (including shareholders agreements and partnership agreements) and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Prior to joining BLG, Joëlle was admitted to the roll of solicitors in England and Wales. She trained at a City law firm in London, gaining experience in the area of corporate, financial services and labour law.
