Churyl runs a land development and expropriation practice. She advises developers, individuals and municipal boards on a wide range of related matters. Churyl appears at hearings and mediations; drafts bylaws, policies, statutory plans, and decisions; provides input on drawings; and negotiates agreements and settlements.

Churyl is known for incisive, to-the-point writing and presentations. She is highly collaborative with clients, consultants, and other parties, often finding common ground and developing creative solutions.

Churyl articled with the Regional Municipality of Peel and worked with the Federal Department of Justice, Regulatory Law, Class Actions Group in Ontario and British Columbia.
