Mani has a broad litigation and arbitration practice. She works with clients on matters including class actions, breach of contract, shareholder disputes, defamation and trademark enforcement.

Mani has appeared before arbitral tribunals and courts in Ontario, British Columbia, New York and federally in Canada and the United States at the trial and/or appellate level.

Experience

  • Counsel to the intervener, Centre for Freedom of Expression (CFE), at the Superior Court of Ontario and Ontario Court of Appeal on the constitutionality of the Ontario government’s amendments to the third party spending limits in the Election Finances Act and the use of s. 33 override
  • Counsel to an energy service provider in an application regarding the judicial review of a administrative tribunal’s decision
  • Counsel for Amazon in an unpaid wage and overtime class action
  • Counsel for Kinross Gold Corporation in a contractual interpretation matter before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice
  • Counsel for a retirement facility in an arbitration dispute regarding termination of a services contract
  • Counsel for a hotel chain with respect to a lease dispute
  • Counsel for a creditor in a Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act process involving complex trust issues
