Julia maintains a broad civil litigation practice. She regularly advocates for clients on a range of matters, including public law, contractual disputes, and professional negligence. She works with a variety of clients in both private and public sectors.
After summering and articling at BLG, Julia served as a clerk to Justices Watt, Gillese, and Zarnett of the Court of Appeal for Ontario. She also spent a year working in commercial barristers’ chambers in London England as a Harold G. Fox Scholar.
While at law school, Julia mooted in the Gale Cup Moot where she was awarded the Justice McLachlin Prize for the best female oralist and the Peter Cory Prize for the best factum. She also completed a clerkship for Justices Mew and Tranmer of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, and an internship with the Department of Justice. She ultimately graduated with a medal in law for receiving a top three standing in her graduating year.
