Sarah McGuire

Articling Student

[email protected]

Sarah is currently an Articling Student at BLG’s Calgary office.

As a law student, Sarah held an executive position with the Robson Hall Chapter of the Canadian Association of Refugee Lawyers. She volunteered at the Legal Help Centre of Winnipeg, providing free legal information and advice to low income people trying to solve a legal problem. Sarah also completed a summer position at the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals in The Hague, Netherlands. Prior to attending law school, Sarah worked internationally in China and the Middle East.

Sarah chose to work at BLG because of the strong sense of community and support that was apparent to her when meeting members of the BLG team during the recruitment process. The opportunity to work with leading lawyers on matters of provincial and national significance while being able to enjoy a positive and progressive work environment was incredibly appealing.

In her free time, Sarah loves to read, watch movies and documentaries, and spend time with her friends, family and her Himalayan cat. She also adores travelling, the outdoors and exercising (most days).
