Articling Student

[email protected]

Emily is an Articling Student in BLG’s Calgary office for the 2021 term.

During law school, Emily co-founded Project Consent at the Western Chapter of Pro Bono Students Canada, providing public legal education on the law regarding sexual assault and consent to high school students. Emily further strengthened her advocacy skills while at Western through participation in several moots, including Gale Cup 2020 and serving as a caseworker at the Community Legal Services Criminal Clinic, where she provided legal representation to members of the London community.

Emily chose BLG because of its strong Disputes practice, and the firm’s reputation for collegiality and mentorship. While summering with BLG in 2019, the formal rotation process enabled Emily to gain valuable exposure to multiple practice groups.

In her free time, Emily enjoys trying new restaurants and attempting to replicate their recipes at home. Whenever possible, Emily enjoys travelling and learning about new cultures and languages and has previously lived in Italy, Spain, and Japan.
