Prior to entering law school, Karlee served as a Canadian intern for the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) with NATO, serving in Belgium, where she worked on logistics and military planning in the field of energy security. Karlee has also worked as a communications assistant and outreach coordinator for the Senate of Canada. While at the Senate, Karlee launched a youth outreach program titled SENgage enabling young Canadians to connect with sitting senators.
Karlee chose to work at BLG after having the opportunity to meet with lawyers from all levels of the firm, from articling students, to associates, to senior partners, who were all dedicated team members and eager to support the learning and development of students and young lawyers. The team culture at BLG and the opportunity for exceptional mentorship inspired Karlee to join the firm.
Karlee enjoys being outdoors and on weekends you can find her in the mountains, either hiking, biking or cross-country skiing. She also loves travelling, having visited 27 countries.
