Heather David

Summer Student

Heather is a Summer Student at BLG’s Ottawa office for the 2021 summer term. She is focusing on Disputes and Corporate law.

As a law student, Heather volunteers with Pro Bono Students Canada and works with the Canadian Civil Liberties Association to research ongoing and emerging civil liberties issues across the country. She also competed in Windsor Law’s Zuber Moot. Prior to joining BLG, Heather worked as a policy analyst for Immigration, Refugees & Citizenship Canada, focusing on international refugee protection policy.

Heather chose to work at BLG because of the firm’s commitment to teamwork, professional development and mentorship. From the beginning of the recruitment process it was clear that BLG’s focus is on collegiality over competition. Through the summer program, Heather is able to develop her interests in a variety of practice areas and learn from great role models.

In her spare time, you can often find Heather playing tabletop board games with friends, exploring new local hiking trails and entertaining her three pets.
