Heather is an Articling Student at BLG’s Ottawa office. She is focusing on gaining experience in disputes.

As a law student, Heather volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada by working with the Canadian Civil Liberties Association to research ongoing and emerging civil liberties issues across the country.

She also worked as a Research Assistant to the Office of the President of the University of Windsor on a project with the City of Windsor.

Prior to attending law school, Heather worked as a Policy Analyst for Immigration, Refugees & Citizenship Canada, focusing on International Refugee Protection policy.

Heather chose to work at BLG because of the firm’s commitment to teamwork, professional development and mentorship. From the beginning of the recruitment process, it was clear that BLG’s focus is on collegiality over competition. Through the articling program, Heather is able to develop her interests in a variety of practice areas and learn from great role models.

In her spare time, you can often find Heather playing tabletop board games with friends, exploring new local hiking trails and entertaining her three pets.
