Sara is an Articling Student at BLG’s Ottawa office with rotations in the Disputes and Corporate groups.
Throughout law school, Sara served as a Legal Services Coordinator for the National Canadian Lawyer’s Initiative (NCLI), an organization dedicated to providing pro bono services to business owners across Canada who were negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. By the end of 2020, Sara connected over 600 clients with legal professionals and students.
She also worked remotely with a sole practitioner on various constitutional, administrative and criminal law matters to advocate for marginalized groups in Canada.
Sara continues to serve on the Communications Committee of the Women’s Law Association of Ontario (WLAO) which focuses on amplifying the accomplishments of women in the legal field.
Prior to joining BLG, Sara held various customer service positions in the restaurant and hospitality industry. These experiences further developed her communication and interpersonal skills which complement her collaborative mindset. These skills continue on with Sara as she is dedicated to providing high quality client service.
Sara chose BLG because it was clear throughout the recruitment process that the firm stands behind what it believes in, such as its commitment to diversity, inclusion and corporate social responsibility.
In her spare time, Sara can be found trying out different restaurants and cuisines all over the city. She also enjoys helping others get ready for their moment in the spotlight by providing makeup services for special events, photoshoots and weddings.
