Megan is an articling student who previously summered with BLG in 2020. She is focusing on Corporate Law.
Megan completed the combined Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Commerce program at the University of Ottawa. She received the Silver Medal for achieving the second-highest standing in the JD program.
While pursuing her studies, Megan worked as a teaching assistant for the Business Communications Skills course at the Telfer School of Management and the Dispute Resolution and Professional Responsibility course at the Faculty of Law. She was also an associate editor for the Ottawa Law Review and founded the BCJD Peer-Mentorship Program.
Prior to joining BLG, Megan gained experience in numerous practice areas working as a law student at a leading mid-sized firm, as a legal intern at an international firm, and as a legal assistant for a sole practitioner in her hometown. Megan is also an active member of her family's business and has developed a strong entrepreneurial spirit as well as a passion for both business and law.
Megan chose to work at BLG because of its collaborative environment in which students are supported in exploring their interests. As a bilingual student, Megan was also eager about the opportunity to work on files in French.
In her spare time Megan enjoys baking, including her family-favourite coconut cream pie, and trying new restaurants. As an avid traveller she enjoys touring vineyards, meeting new people, and ticking adventures off her bucket list.
