Saly is a student in BLG’s Ottawa office for the 2023 summer term. She is focusing on Disputes and Corporate law.

Prior to joining BLG, Saly has worked as a legal student at the Ottawa Hospital, Natural Resources Canada and the Canada Agriculture Review Tribunal. She was a Research Assistant to Professors in Criminal and Health law, the latter relating to artificial intelligence, where she conducted extensive research and identified legal issues.

Saly participated in the 2022 Laskin moot competition and will serve as a Clerk at the Federal Court in 2023 – 2024.

Saly chose BLG because of the firm’s bilingualism, strong commitment to teamwork and thorough training across different practice areas.

Saly has served as a volunteer with Pro Bono Students Canada where she created a resourceful document for people living with mental conditions.

In her free time, Saly is involved in her Egyptian community. She enjoys spinning, hiking and weight training as well as learning new instruments such as the ukulele and cymbals.
