Stephen is an articling student in BLG’s Toronto office for the 2022-2023 term.
As a law student, Stephen was a student advocate, summer manager, and internal relations manager for the Dalhousie Student Advocacy Service, where he advised and represented students in various meetings and hearings, as well as helped them navigate the university policies. Before law school, Stephen taught English in Xi’an, China for two years and was a member in a plant cell research laboratory.
Stephen chose BLG because of its strength in both its disputes and business services departments, and particularly in health and indigenous law. He also felt the most comfortable meeting with the various firm members throughout the interview process and was impressed by the numerous valuable learning opportunities that were presenting during his summer term.
In his spare time, Stephen enjoys cycling, having turned from a “pandemic cyclist” to a full-blown Lycra-wearing one. He also enjoys camping, hiking, and the great outdoors. Finally, Stephen is an avid fan of exploring various music genres and attending concerts, particularly industrial electronic and ambient music.
