Katie Lawless

Articling Student

[email protected]

Katie is an articling student at BLG’s Vancouver Office.

As a law student, Katie managed Artists’ Legal Advice Services, served as a senior editor with the Journal of Law and Equality, and was co-executive of the Peer Mental Health Support Program.

Along with her JD, Katie obtained a Certificate in Aboriginal Legal Studies from the University of Toronto.

Prior to joining BLG, Katie worked as a student caseworker at Downtown Legal Services, a poverty law clinic in Toronto. There she repeatedly drafted court documents and represented clients in court.

Katie chose BLG because of the firm’s collegial environment and strong mentorship. After meeting a diverse group of individuals throughout the recruitment process and hearing about their commitment to the firm, the clients, and each other, Katie felt confident in her decision to choose BLG.

In Katie’s spare time she enjoys spending as much time as possible outside – camping, hiking, skiing, and biking.
