Summer Student

Katie is a summer student for the 2021 summer term with an interest in litigation.

As a law student, Katie manages Artists’ Legal Advice Services and serves as a senior editor with the Journal of Law and Equality. She also leads the Peer Mental Health Support Program, the Global Health Working Group for the International Human Rights Program, and the Sports and Entertainment Law Society at the University of Toronto. In her first summer as a law student, Katie worked as a student caseworker at Downtown Legal Services, a poverty law clinic in Toronto. There she drafted court documents and represented clients in court.

Katie chose BLG because of the firm’s collegial environment and strong mentorship. After meeting a diverse group of individuals throughout the recruitment process and hearing about their commitment to the firm, the clients, and each other, Katie felt confident in her decision to choose BLG.

In Katie’s spare time she enjoys spending as much time as possible outside – camping, hiking, skiing, running, and playing tennis.
