Yomi is clerking at the Supreme Court of British Columbia in 2022/2023 and will be returning to BLG to article in 2023.
As a law student at the University of Victoria, Yomi leads the Canadian Association for Refugee Lawyers UVic Chapter, advocates for racialized people with the Pan-Asian Legal Society, and organized the 1L Community Conference. She also volunteers for Appeal, UVic's law journal. Prior to joining BLG, Yomi worked as a teaching assistant for the UVic Faculty of Law, was a summer student at a small law firm in Victoria, and interned for the Consulate General of Mexico in Vancouver.
In Yomi's spare time you can find her running, playing with her German Shepherd puppy, eating her way through Vancouver's vibrant restaurant scene, and painting custom-made clothing for her loved ones.
