Wesley maintains a hybrid civil litigation and advisory practice with a particular focus on labour and employment issues.

Wesley advises clients on workplace disputes, wrongful and constructive dismissals, implementation of employment standards and best practices, and discrimination and accommodation. Wesley has experience drafting and reviewing employment agreements, employee handbooks, workplace policies, termination letters and other employment-related documentation.

Wesley also has experience acting for businesses on a range of matters including shareholder disputes and breach of contract.

In the course of his litigation practice, Wesley has appeared in all levels of court in British Columbia.

Wesley joined BLG as an associate after summering and articling with the firm. During law school, Wesley promoted inclusion of underrepresented groups in the legal profession while serving as president of the Diversity and Law Society and as an active member of the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers Western Chapter.

  • Acquisition of The Athletic magazine by the New York Times
  • An appeal of a damages award arising from personal injuries suffered in a motor vehicle accident, on a pro bono basis, resulting in the client receiving additional monies erroneously not provided in the trial decision.
