Emily practices in the Commercial Real Estate Group and provides legal guidance on all aspects of real estate transactions.
Emily assists clients with commercial and residential developments, buying and selling real estate, and land use and subdivision. She advises landlords and tenants with respect to major commercial leases, subleases, assignments, and associated risks.
Emily advises clients on administrative proceedings such as reconsideration of development permits and rezoning applications. She also provides oral and written opinions on legislation impacting her clients, including the scope of authority under the Land Title Act, Community Charter, Vancouver Charter, Local Government Act and Land Owner Transparency Act reporting requirements.
Prior to joining BLG, Emily practiced municipal law and commercial real estate law at mid-sized firms in Vancouver and North Vancouver.
